Engineering City

High-Tech Accelerator & ecosystem hub in Yerevan

Engineering City

Engineering City is a public-private partnership initiative aimed at supporting the sustainable development of Armenia’s high-tech and engineering sectors.

The program is implemented by the Enterprise Incubator Foundation (EIF) with the active and key support of the Ministry of High-Tech Industry of the Republic of Armenia, in cooperation with the World Bank, the Engineering Association, and a number of private-sector companies.

Program Objective

The primary objective of Engineering City is to build a modern and competitive innovation ecosystem in Armenia where engineering and high-tech companies can grow, collaborate, and develop and implement innovative ideas for local and international markets using advanced infrastructure and technological capabilities.

The program brings together technology companies, research and educational institutions, industry professionals, and public- and private-sector partners on a single platform, fostering knowledge exchange, research activities, and the development of competitive technology products.

Technology Community

Today, Engineering City is home to approximately 30 engineering and high-tech companies, including the internationally recognized NI Emerson. The number of resident companies continues to grow, expanding both the capabilities of the emerging technology community and opportunities for collaboration.

More than 400 professionals currently work at Engineering City across a range of rapidly developing fields, including:

  • Aerospace
  • Automotive technologies, including Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS)
  • Sixth-generation mobile communications (6G)
  • Integrated circuit design and development
  • Microelectronics
  • Industrial Internet of Things (Industrial IoT)
  • Radio-electronic systems and integrated solutions
  • Biomedical engineering
  • Automation and smart manufacturing
  • Other emerging high-tech fields

Infrastructure and Opportunities

Engineering City is home to the High-Tech Accelerator, Advanced Research Laboratories, the Aznavour Supercomputing Center, as well as educational programs, including the Bachelor’s Program in Electronic Devices and Measurement Systems and the Master’s Program in Aerospace Instrumentation.

Engineering City also operates a state-of-the-art production facility equipped with advanced machinery and technologies, providing two main categories of engineering services: mechanical engineering and electronics.

Education and Professional Capacity Development

Engineering City also delivers educational programs aligned with the needs of the high-tech sector, creating a strong practical connection between education, science, and industry.

Current academic programs include:

  • Bachelor’s Program in Electronic Devices and Measurement Systems
  • Master’s Program in Aerospace Instrumentation

These educational programs are designed to prepare professionals with up-to-date knowledge and strong practical skills. Students have the opportunity to study in an environment that provides direct interaction with technology companies and leading industry professionals.

In parallel, a wide range of specialized professional training courses are also delivered.

Through this integrated ecosystem, Engineering City has become a key center for the advancement of engineering excellence, cutting-edge research, education, and high-tech manufacturing in Armenia.

High-Tech Accelerator

The High-Tech Accelerator, located within Engineering City, is a modern environment equipped with advanced infrastructure and technological capabilities, designed for engineering and high-tech companies, startups, research teams, and industry professionals.

The Accelerator brings together workspaces and production areas, engineering laboratories, prototyping and testing capabilities, educational programs, and professional events within a single platform.

It is designed to support the entire development cycle of a technology idea — from concept development and testing to the creation of a finished product and its entry into the market.

Our Objective

The objective of the High-Tech Accelerator is to create a modern and collaborative ecosystem where companies and professionals can develop innovative ideas, implement research and engineering projects, build prototypes, and create competitive technology products.

The Accelerator also promotes collaboration among different stakeholders in the sector by bringing together companies, startups, research and educational institutions, investors, and experts.

Technology and Manufacturing Capabilities

Accelerator residents and partners have access to:

  • State-of-the-art equipment and machinery for developing complex engineering solutions
  • Prototyping and testing laboratories
  • Shared production facilities for implementing engineering and technology projects
  • Opportunities to install their own equipment and establish small-scale production facilities
  • Technical support throughout various stages of concept testing and product development

These capabilities make it possible to transform technology ideas into functional prototypes on-site, conduct the necessary testing, and prepare products for further development and market entry.

Work and Collaboration Environment

The Accelerator provides a comprehensive infrastructure for professional and business activities, including:

  • Office and co-working spaces
  • Production facilities and engineering laboratories
  • Meeting and negotiation rooms
  • Conference and event halls
  • Fully equipped educational spaces for training programs, professional development courses, and workshops

Companies can not only work on their own projects but also establish new partnerships, exchange expertise, participate in professional programs, and become part of Engineering City’s growing technology community.

An Environment for Turning Technology Ideas into Reality

The High-Tech Accelerator is more than just a workspace. It is a hub for innovation, engineering creativity, and collaboration, where new projects take shape, technological solutions are developed, and the products of the future are created.
